We have made ApTest Manager as easy to install and upgrade as possible. However, this is a system level utility — and while highly automated this install process is NOT an "InstallShield" based installation such as is common for application software.

We are confident these installation and upgrading instructions are accurate and complete. They have been successfully executed by hundreds of other licensees with environments similar to yours - we promise. However, in order to ensure complete success, these instructions should only be followed AFTER you have an operational web server environment. Even then, they MUST only be followed by an experienced system administrator. Please DO NOT attempt this installation if you are not an experienced system administrator. If you are an experienced system administrator, have faithfully followed the instructions in this document at least twice, continue to have problems, and would like an ApTest Engineer to walk you through the process, please contact atm-sales@aptest.com to purchase a "Startup Support" package.

We have provided separate instructions for Windows, Macintosh, and UNIX/Linux platforms. Please review the relevant requirements for your environment, and only then select the appropriate instructions.
